NASAL POLYPS
QUESTION:
I have been diagnosed with nasal polyps and was put on prednisone to reduce the swelling. The effect was not satisfactory. I would like to avoid surgery. Is there any alternative therapy you could suggest for my condition?

ANSWER:  Herbs are probably not the appropriate choice here but if I were going to try something I, try herbs which are astringent (shrink) tissue such as Eyebright, Yarrow, Sage, Sheperd's Purse, Oak bark etc.  I would probably try Eyebright, Sage and Yarrow singularly or in combination.  I would also use, the berberine contain herbs such as Barberrry, Oregan Grape, Yellow Root or the endangered Goldenseal if nothing else is available.  The problem would be getting the herb up there, you could use an extract but the alcohol would sting as the solution was sprayed into your sinus, you would have to get use to it.  You would want to lay on your back administer the herbal extract or combination and stay on your back for a couple minutes so they don't drain out.

A nedi pot would also work.
