Northeast School of Botanical Medicine trains students
in the practical art and skills of herbal medicine. Classes

9-month course meets one Saturday per month and gives
students basic herbal knowledge and skills that will
empower them to use herbs for their own nutritional,
medicinal and creative needs. It offers the opportunity
to share and learn together in a small group through 3
seasons of the year. Our teaching areas include a cozy
classroom/herb kitchen, cultivated gardens on our farm
and the fields and forests of northern Chester County,
Pennsylvania.
Students will receive 60+ hours of instruction,
notebooks, handouts, recipes and a wide variety of
herbal preparations made in class to take home. A
beautiful certificate will be presented at the
completion of the course.

dedicated to providing a high quality educational
program in holistic herbal medicine. The school is
centered around the use and stewardship of local

turned into the school and sent back by mail after being
graded. This distance learning program includes every
aspect of western herbalism including identification,
medicine making, anatomy, botany, horticulture, and
pharmacognosy.
The Heart of Herbs ... is a great beginners Herbal program written by the teacher Demetria Clark.
It includes the body systems, materia medica, projects and herb samples along with articles and fun recipes for
practical uses for herbs in our lives. The program covers adult health, children's health, pets, flower essences, aromatherapy and wildcrafting and identification guides.
