Back in 1978 I was a
Certified Public Accountant. Had a nice
little practice. Great clients.
But it just wasn't enough. I was active at
an historic farm in Dayton, Ohio (Carriage
Hill Farm) and we decided to put in a medicinal
herb garden. And the obsession began.
Within a year, I had an
herb shop in the front of my accounting
practice. We started an herb study group
out at Carriage Hill and had our first herb
festival at the farm with Jeanne Rose as our
guest speaker. This was in the early 80s
and it was glorious.
In 1985 several herb
businesses met in Kentucky and formed a group
called the International Herb Growers and
Marketers. In 1990 we broke off from that
group and the Herb Growing and Marketing Network
was formed.
It's now 2016 and we have
gone through many phases but we still have the
passion for herbs and the people that love them
and the people that make a living with them,
whether it's growing them, teaching about them,
selling them or helping otheers heal themselves
with them. We try to help. Join us
and learn more about them.

other things we offer.
